Drew Brees expects to remain a Saint

Fantasy Football, NFL News

“Not a matter if (a new contract) gets done, but when”

“That day comes for all of us” Saints QB Drew Brees on Eli Manning’s retirement and his thoughts on his own future and getting over a third postseason heartbreak. (NFL Network – Jane Slater)

Nerdy Football Analysis: An impending free agent, Brees sounded confident in the interview that he’ll play in 2020 and left little doubt that he expects to do so in New Orleans. The 41-year-old missed five games this season due to a thumb injury, although a strong finish allowed him to put up 27 touchdown passes. At an age where a falloff could be coming around the corner at any time, Brees should be considered a high-upside QB2 for fantasy purposes next season.
