MCL tear worse than initially thought
That optimism apparently was accurate, as to the ACL. However, the MCL damage reportedly is more significant than initially believed.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Bell has a “badly torn” MCL, along with other damage.

Nerdy Football Analysis: There was some optimism early in the evening that Bell had sidestepped a more serious tear, but if the MRI on Monday confirms the worst, Bell is expected to be placed on IR. In his absence, DeAngelo Williams will assume the No.1 running back role in Pittsburgh and is a must add if available in your league.
