InjurySymptoms worsened overnight

The Chargers will be without Keenan Allen for “some time,” coach Mike McCoy announced Monday. Allen suffered a kidney injury Sunday when he landed hard at the end of a 13-yard touchdown in a 29-26 loss to the Ravens. The wide receiver traveled from back to San Diego from Baltimore after the game with the team, but his symptoms worsened as the night progressed. He was checked into a San Diego hospital. Nerdy Football Analysis: Ouch. Allen’s injury is just another of the many casulaties of Week 8 that saw Le’Veon Bell, Matt Forte, Steve Smith and Khiry Robinson all suffer significant injuries. In Allen’s absence, Malcom Floyd becomes a viable WR2 options in the Chargers pass-happy offense.
