Arian Foster isn’t feeling great. Arian Foster is in a much better place.
“I’m feeling wonderful,” the Pro Bowl running back told the Houston media on Thursday morning.
Foster suffered a groin injury in early August, and missed the rest of training camp, as well as all four preseason games. He had surgery, has been through rehab, and said he’s making progress “day by day”. He wouldn’t give a timeline on when he’d return, but said “we’re ahead of schedule”. (HoustonTexans.com)
Nerdy Football Analysis: The Texans haven’t provided much information in terms of a timeline, but it is widely assumed Foster will be back on the field sometime early in October – perhaps Week 4. If that is the case, a number of owners that rolled the dice on him post-injury in the fourth and fifth round of their fantasy draft could have a high-end RB1 on their hands, especially given the Texans’ relatively soft run schedule. Alfred Blue is expected to see the most carries in his absence.
