Sankey and McCluster relegated to backup roles

Tennessee Titans interim head coach Mike Mularkey said Tuesday the team will be giving the bulk of carries at running back to second-year player Antonio Andrews, beginning with Sunday’s game against the New Orleans Saints. The decision to identify Andrews as the starter differs from the “running back by committee’ approach the team took under former head coach Ken Whisenhunt. Andrews, Bishop Sankey and Dexter McCluster have all seen time as Tennessee’s main back this season. (Fox Sports)

Nerdy Football Analysis: Andrews is available on most waiver wires, and while the Titans’ running game has been anemic thus far, the second-year RB is likely to get 15 carries this week against a porous Saints’ defense.
