Swift may be limited early in the season
The Lions are signing Adrian Peterson to a one-year contract, according to multiple reports, shaking up a backfield that has already undergone a lot of changes this offseason. Kerryon Johnson is back, but will share the backfield with newcomers like D’Andre Swift, a second-round pick, and Jason Cabinda, a converted linebacker who will play fullback. (MLive.com)
Nerdy Football Analysis: This moves adds another body to the Lions running back and indicates Swift’s leg injury may limit him early in the season. Peterson and offensive play-caller Darrell Bevell are familiar with each from their days in Minnesota.
