Nerdy Football Analysis: The 49ers are eyeing a Week 9 bye with a winnable game against the Rams next up on the schedule, so the team could go the safe route here if they want. In such a case, Brandon Aiyuk and George Kittle would be in line to see sizable bumps in their target shares. Christian McCaffrey could also absorb the bulk of Samuel’s likely workload as well with another week to process the playbook. If Samuel is cleared to play, however, he is well worth a start in fantasy and should be considered a strong WR2 option.
