$50 million guaranteed

The Dallas Cowboys and Ezekiel Elliott have come to terms on a six-year, $90 million contract extension, a source told ESPN on Wednesday. The deal has $50 million guaranteed, a source told ESPN’s Ed Werder, surpassing Todd Gurley’s $45 million as the most for an NFL running back. (ESPN)

Nerdy Football Analysis: Nothing like waiting until the last minute. Zeke is back being a top four pick in late drafts. A secondary report from Jane Slater suggests “the plan right now is about 20-25 reps on Sunday, rookie Tony Pollard behind him and FB Jamize Olawale as your best blitz pickup guy on 3rd downs. Things can always change but this is the plan heading into today.” That seems like a light workload for Zeke and it won’t be surprising if used more against the Giants in Week 1.
