Suffered lower leg injury in Week 3
David Montgomery is going to be day to day according to Matt Eberflus. He said there are a “couple things going on” with his lower leg injury but said he’s “good” right now. (ESPN – Courtney Cronin)
Nerdy Football Analysis: There is some belief that Montgomery is dealing with an ankle injury. It would seem HC Matt Eberflus is of the opinion he will be able to go this weekend against the Giants. Either way, one would think Khalil Herbert earned the right to prove himself as a 1B back in this offense as opposed to a traditional backup with his Week 3 effort. Even if Montgomery is active in Week 4, fantasy managers in deeper leagues can make a case to play both.
