Nerdy Football Analysis: The primary question here is whether Poles hopes Montgomery will accept a 1A/1B arrangement with Khalil Herbert or if Montgomery wants a backfield to himself. The Bears will have the cap space to match just about any offer Montgomery gets in free agency, but he will ultimately need to decide if sharing backfield chores with Herbert is what he wants for the foreseeable future.
