Rams RB could be limited, but not a lot of info on recovery

Rams RB Darrell Henderson injured his thumb during practice. “I’m not sure,” Sean McVay said after practice when asked about his status. “He got his thumb. Don’t have any updates on that.” (Twitter)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Thanks for the info, Sean! Coach was probably annoyed because the Rams are basically “all in” on the veteran back, and the RB depth in Los Angeles is pretty thin because of the devastating Cam Akers injury in the offseason. So if Henderson misses time we’ll see a lot of UDFA Xavier Jones, who was signed in 2020. Other than that it’s just seventh-round selection Jake Funk, who could carve out a role eventually.
