Dak Prescott has signed his franchise tender, a source confirmed. He’s expected to be at camp. The Cowboys and Prescott have until July 15 to work out a long-term deal. If one isn’t finalized by then, Dak will play the 2020 season under a fully-guaranteed $31.4 million contract. (Jon Machota on Twitter)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Reports leaked out over the weekend that Prescott would sign his tender on Monday. As a result, we don’t have to worry about the quarterback showing up for camp while the two sides work to strike a long-term deal. The sticking point seems to be the length of the contract (four or five years).
