Cowboys trying to acquire RB Ball from Broncos?

Rumors abound that Dallas is looking to add the elusive RB

After maintaining all offseason that they’re perfectly happy with their running back triumvirate of Joseph Randle, Darren McFadden and Lance Dunbar, the Dallas Cowboys are discussing a trade for Denver Broncos running back Montee Ball, according to a report from Vic Lombardi of CBS 104.3 in Denver. Ball, a former second-round pick out of Wisconsin, was the starter for the Broncos during the early part of the 2014 season, but the combination of injuries and ineffectiveness led to him losing carries to Ronnie Hillman and C.J. Anderson. He played in just five games, starting three, and carried 55 times for a total of 172 yards (3.1 per carry) and one touchdown. (CBS Sports)

Nerdy Football Analysis: If Ball gets moved from Denver to Dallas, his fantasy value will receive a massive boost. With Randle and McFadden both underwhelming throughout camp and into the preseason, Ball would likely inherit the majority of the touches that were given to DeMarco Murray last year. Stay tuned…
