Cook will be limited if he plays
Dalvin Cook and Stefon Diggs are both listed as questionable for the Minnesota Vikings’ Week 9 game against the Detroit Lions.
Diggs sustained an injury to his ribs in the second quarter of a 30-20 loss to the New Orleans Saints. The wide receiver did not practice Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. Cook’s participation in practice Friday gives the Vikings hope that he will be able to play against the Lions. Sources indicated that Cook will go through an on-field workout prior to inactives before determining whether he can play. (ESPN)
Nerdy Football Analysis: The Vikings handling of Cook is questionable at best given they have a bye next week. If he does play, he’s expected to be on a pitch count. He won’t be a recommended fantasy play even if he is active on Sunday. Diggs owners should be getting plan B in place in case he is ruled inactive on Sunday.
