Colts get 2nd round, 3rd round pick in 2022, 3rd in 2023
Colts are trading QB Carson Wentz to Washington for a package of packs that is thought to include two third-round picks, sources tell ESPN. Washington is paying the full $28 million due to Carson Wentz this year, which includes a $5 million roster bonus due next week. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Nerdy Football Analysis: The Colts are getting a 2nd round and 3rd round pick in 2022, along with a 3rd round pick in 2023. The Commanders will get Wentz and a 2022 second round pick. Wentz lasted one season in Indianapolis and had a brutal game to close out the regular season, a loss to the Jaguars which kept the Colts out of the playoffs. Wentz is a marginal fantasy asset, best as a QB2 in redraft leagues.
