Frank Reich’s comments are just a small snippet of how high the Colts remain on Deon Cain. The Colts are extremely bullish on the talent level of Cain and they are eager to see that back on the practice field later this month.

“You guys know we were very excited about what Deon showed, how quickly he picked things up and the playmaking ability that he showed,” Reich says about what Cain did put on display early on at last year’s training camp. (1070 The Fan – Kevin Bowen)

Nerdy Football Analysis: This spring, GM Chris Ballard said he didn’t expect Cain to return to form until midseason. More than likely, the 22-year-old will be brought along slowly as the team’s No. 4 receiver in hopes he can replace Devin Funchess in 2020. While it’s possible Cain could force his way onto the field this year, Funchess reportedly held his own during the spring. Regardless of what happens in 2019, Cain is a fine dynasty stash.
