Named starting QB for Week 13

With Jets defensive coordinator Gregg Williams lining up the NFL’s intricate No.8 defense Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium and Bill Belichick hauling in the Patriots’ No. 2 defense in here two weeks later with a game in Cleveland against the Browns No. 15 defense, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor went back to Andy Dalton as his starting quarterback.

“It’s the best decision for the football team right now to do this,” Taylor said. “We’re going to face some tough defenses these next couple of weeks. (Dalton) will give us an opportunity to win.” (Bengals.com – Geoff Hobson)

Nerdy Football Analysis: It’s unclear if the Bengals are making the switch to avoid having Ryan Finley face the aforementioned gauntlet of defenses, but rookie Ryan Finley wasn’t getting the job done. The switch is good news for fantasy owners of Tyler Boyd, Auden Tate and Alex Erickson, although their immediate upsides will be limited by the quality of their opponents. Consider Boyd and Tate decent WR3 options in Week 13.
