Nerdy Football Analysis: Baby steps. McCaffrey had not practiced since going down in Week 2, and it doesn’t make much sense to rush him on a short week when the team can give him another week to recover. Assuming he sits out Thursday’s game against Atlanta and ramps thing up next week, CMC will have had six full weeks to recover. In short, he should be able to hit the ground running for his fantasy owners over the second half of the season. Mike Davis figures to get one more start in Week 8.
