New OC envisions Godwin in Cooper Kupp role
Bucs OC Liam Coen says he sees Chris Godwin moving back inside in the slot position. The Bucs got away from that a year ago thinking it may preserve him from a health standpoint. But he will be back in his old position in 2024. (Rick Stroud on X)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Despite reaching 1000 receiving yards, Godwin had a quiet 2023 season with just three TDs (one rushing) and two 100-yard receiving games on 83 receptions. We could see his catch totals increase with former Rams’ OC Coen directing the offense. Mike Evans is a free agent and whether or not he returns to Tampa remains to be seen.
