Rashaad Penny breakout put on hold
The Seahawks and Chris Carson agreed to a new contract Friday. It is a three-year deal worth up to $24.625 million but voids to two years at $14.625 million. So it’s best viewed as a two-year deal, with the void year a way for the team to spread out more of the salary-cap hit. (Seattle Times)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Carson has been Seattle’s main back for the last three but only played in 12 games last season due to injury. He should resume his role as the lead back for Seattle but will have Rashaad Penny, Travis Homer, DeeJay Dallas and Alex Collins ready to step in should he log more time on the injury list.
