Concussion; did not make the trip to San Francisco
Carson Palmer will not play Thursday night versus the San Francisco 49ers. Drew Stanton will make his first start of the season.
Palmer suffered a concussion on Sunday in a loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Coach Bruce Arians said Palmer made progress in recovery, but won’t travel with the team out of precaution. (NFL.com)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Despite Arians’ optimism earlier in the week, Palmer wasn’t going to play less than four full days after suffering a concussion. Stanton should be good enough to keep the Cardinals’ playmakers afloat in fantasy, but don’t expect any huge performances from anyone outside of perhaps David Johnson. Stanton can be ignored even in two-quarterback leagues.
