Steve Wilks left out in the cold
Former Colts’ HC Frank Reich is being named the new head coach of the Carolina Panthers. Reich now returns to the franchise he quarterbacked in 1995. Frank Reich had five different Week 1 starting quarterbacks in his five years with Indianapolis. He’ll be getting another new QB in Carolina – with hopes this one sticks longer. Nerdy Football Analysis: Interim head coach Steve Wilks doesn’t get the gig and will now likely be searching for a DC job elsewhere. The Panthers are still searching for a quarterback after trying Baker Mayfield, P.J. Walker and Sam Darnold during the 2022 season. Carolina has the 9th pick in the upcoming draft and will likely be active in the free agent QB market.
