Gabbert sent to the bench
After Sunday’s loss in Washington, Bruce Arians said Blaine Gabbert was going to remain the Cardinals’ starting quarterback.
Monday, the coach changed his mind. Arians has decided to re-insert Drew Stanton into the lineup for Sunday’s home game against the New York Giants. (AZCardinals.com)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Gabbert hasn’t thrown a TD in two games and completed just 39 percent of his passes for 189 yards in Week 15. Stanton has recovered from his knee injury and will try and right the ship against the Giants. Given the opponent, Stanton will be a streaming consideration but will likely top out as a QB2.
