Calvin Ridley tweaks hamstring Thursday

InjuryWR expected to return to practice Saturday

Early during Thursday’s practice at AT&T Atlanta Falcons Training Camp, second-year receiver Calvin Ridley finished running a curl route and immediately grabbed his hamstring. With a noticeable limp, Ridley began to walk around, his hand never leaving his hamstring. Coach Dan Quinn didn’t appear too concerned about Ridley’s health following practice, saying the receiver had a tight hamstring but that he expected him back for the next four-day block of practices, which begin Saturday.

Nerdy Football Analysis: It sounds like Ridley avoided anything major, but hamstring injuries early in camp will sometimes nag a player for the entire season if they don’t get the proper time to heal. Expect Atlanta to use extreme caution and rest him if there is any hint of this being something more than a “tight” hamstring.
