Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht told ESPN on Saturday that Doug Martin was looking good so far in camp and that the team is happy with the way he’s handling things, but that the reality of the situation is that Martin’s job might not be there for him anymore in Week 4. (ESPN)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Jacquizz Rodgers will be the starting running back Weeks 1-3 and it appears the Bucs are attempting to motivate the suspended Martin by not naming him the starter upon his return. Charles Sims has carved out a third-down role and Peyton Barber along with rookie Jeremy McNichols are also in the mix. Martin is risky pick with a current ADP in middle of the 4th round, RB20.
