Both sides working on long-term deal
Bucs and WR Chris Godwin did not reach a long-term deal today and he now will be tagged, officially, per source. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Nerdy Football Analysis: The two sides are working on a long-term deal but haven’t reached an agreement yet. If Godwin were to remain on the franchise tag, he would earn $19.2 million in 2022. Godwin tore his ACL in mid-December so he’ll be on a tight timeline in order to make it back for the start of the 2022 season. The question is, who will be playing quarterback for the Bucs?
