Browns finally do the right thing

The Cleveland Browns have fired coach Hue Jackson, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Monday.

The Browns are 2-5-1 this season, doubling the win total from Jackson’s first two seasons with the team. Cleveland was 1-15 in his first season and 0-16 last season. There were rumblings that the relationship between Jackson and offensive coordinator Todd Haley had deteriorated to the point that a move might have to be made. (ESPN)

Nerdy Football Analysis: According to Ian Rapoport, a change at OC or a change at head coach was on the table. Owner Jimmy Haslam wanted to keep Jackson while GM John Dorsey wanted to move on from Hue. It appears Dorsey got his wish. Jackson has been a train wreck, leading the Browns to three wins in the last three seasons. Al Saunders has been named as the interim head coach.
