One-year deal
Unable to generate much interest in the free-agent market, Ronnie Hillman returned to the Broncos after reaching a 1-year agreement on Monday.
Hillman was a 12-game starter and the Broncos’ leading rusher last season. He was the Broncos’ 1A running back while C.J. Anderson was 1B. (9 News in Denver)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Even though Hillman “got the start” in numerous games last season the Broncos used a two-man committee approach with C.J. Anderson splitting time with Hillman in the backfield. It appears Anderson is now the flavor of the month in the Broncos backfield as he received a four-year deal while Hillman’s one-year deal is worth significantly less money. Fantasy owners should favor Anderson at this point in time.
