Third coach to be fired this season
The Broncos announced they have fired head coach Nathaniel Hackett. Broncos owner and CEO Greg Penner will lead the coaching search along with the ownership group and GM George Paton. (Jeff Howe on Twitter)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Hackett becomes the third head coach to be fired this season, joining Matt Rhule (CAR) and Frank Reich (IND) in the unemployment line. The Broncos have been extremely disappointing on offense this season after the signing of Russell Wilson and Hackett has made questionable decisions in his first year as a HC. The Broncos were embarrassed by the Rams yesterday to the tune of 51-14 which was likely the final nail in the coffin for Hackett.
