Big Ben upgraded to questionable

InjuryRoethlisberger has been out since week 3

The Steelers left open the possibility that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger could return to action Sunday for their game at Kansas City after a three-game absence. Roethlisberger was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report after being a limited participant in practice for a third straight day. He has been out since straining the MCL in his left knee Sept. 27 in a win at St. Louis. Roethlisberger is wearing a knee brace to stabilize the sprain. Backup quarterback Mike Vick was ruled out. He strained his right hamstring Sunday in a victory over Arizona and did not practice all week. Third-string quarterback Landry Jones replaced Vick in the third quarter, rallied the Steelers to the win and is the presumptive starter this week for Pittsburgh (4-2). Players have said Roethlisberger has looked crisp at practice this week, but the team is preparing Jones with first-team reps. (ESPN)

Nerdy Football Analysis: Unless you hear otherwise leading up to Sunday’s game, expect Roethlisberger to sit out in favour of Landry Jones, who performed admirably last week in his first real NFL action. While Antonio Brown and Martavis Bryant won’t have the value they would with Roethlisberger at the helm, having Jones under center increases their value more than having Vick at QB.
