Bengals hit hard by injury bug
On one of their final plays of the game in a 16-12 loss to the Bills,?they reportedly lost running back Giovani Bernard for the season.
The Enquirer confirmed an initial NFL Network report?late Sunday night that Bernard suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament after bringing in a 7-yard catch from Andy Dalton with 58 seconds remaining. (Cincinnati Enquirer)
Nerdy Football Analysis: It was a brutal week for injuries and the Bengals got hit the most with A.J. Green (hamstring) and losing on half of their running back tandem, Giovani Bernard. Jeremy Hill should see an uptick in usage over the final seven weeks of the season. Rex Burkhead could also see an increase in snaps.
