Will miss out on $14.5 million if he sits out the entire season

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell is unlikely to report to the team by Tuesday’s deadline, which would make him ineligible to play the rest of this season, league sources told ESPN.

Even as the Steelers brace to lose their marquee running back for the entire season, Bell’s camp continues to maintain its cone of silence and repeatedly has declined to address with reporters his plans for the coming week. (ESPN)

Nerdy Football Analysis: If Bell doesn’t report by Tuesday at 4PM Eastern he will miss out on a total of $14.5 million this season. James Conner appears to be locked into the starting running back role in Pittsburgh for the foreseeable future. The Steelers could use the transition tag on him next year or let him hit free agency.
