One-year deal
The #Bears have agreed to terms on a 1-year deal with former Super Bowl hero RB Damien Williams, source said. Lots of familiarity, as he knows Matt Nagy’s offense from KC, and he was OC Bill Lazor with the #Dolphins. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Williams was a 2020 COVID-19 opt-out in Kansas City last season but will rejoin the league in 2021 under familiar coach Bill Lazor. Williams will slide into a backup role behind David Montgomery and the return of Tarik Cohen (ACL) could put a damper on Montgomery’s upside. Montgomery finished 6th in PPR points per game in 2020.
