Status uncertain for Week 3
Sources: #Bears QB Andy Dalton had his MRI and it confirmed a bone bruise in his knee. No official determination has been made about his status this week. (NFL Network – Ian Rapoport)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Dalton’s potential absence obviously clears the path for Justin Fields to start. HC Matt Nagy remains insistent that Dalton will start if he is healthy, but he will have a hard time putting the genie back in the bottle if Fields gives the offense a spark against the Browns. Fantasy managers are foaming at the mouth to get Fields on the field because he offers a skill set similar to Kyler Murray or a younger Russell Wilson. Fantasy managers should continue to hold onto the rookie or stash him anywhere he is available.
