Colts QB tired of the injury grind
In a shocking development, quarterback Andrew Luck has informed the Indianapolis Colts that he plans to retire from the NFL, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Saturday. Luck is mentally worn down, and now checking out, the source told Schefter. Luck already had been ruled out of the game due to an ankle injury, but was seen on the sideline, laughing and conversing with teammates. (ESPN)
Nerdy Football Analysis: In his news conference Lucky mentioned the toll his various injuries have taken on him over the last four years. Those injuries have sapped his love for the game. The Colts will now give the keys to Jacoby Brissett for the 2019 season. Brissett posted a 3098-13-7 line while filling in for Luck in 2017.
