WR experiencing hamstring tightness
Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, coach John Fox said Friday. Jeffery was slowed by an injured calf in the preseason, but made it back for the Bears’ season-opening loss to the Green Bay Packers. “He’ll be day-to-day, questionable for the game,” Fox said, according to the Chicago Sun Times. “He had some hamstring tightness after yesterday’s practice and we held him out today.” (SI)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Jeffery, playing with a sore calf in week one, still paced Bears’ receivers with five receptions for 78 yards. The 25-year-old hasn’t missed a game in either of the past two seasons, and has been known to play through injuries. Expect him to suit up against the Cardinals, who allowed 354 passing yards in week one.
