Impending free agent wants to return to Jacksonville
Allen Robinson’s rookie contract expires in March and he’s eagerly awaiting an offer from the Jaguars. He knows, however, that he has little leverage since he missed the 2017 season. He may get a one-year, prove-it offer or the team could offer him a two- or three-year contract.
“I don’t really know what is going to happen. I know there’s a lot of different scenarios. Right now, my main focus is … for me to get back at 100 percent. That’s the main focus right now. Again, I know I’ll be back at 100 percent and relatively soon,” Robinson said. (ESPN – Michael DiRocco)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Robinson’s negotiating power took a hit first when he was lost of on the third play of the season with a torn left ACL and again when the Jags proceeded to go 10-6 en route to an AFC South title. However, Jacksonville knows he is a difference-maker, so look for something to get done with Jacksonville. Assuming he is in good shape come training camp, owners should target him as a WR2 again in fantasy drafts.
