Redskins agree on 4-year extension with Smith

The Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to trade quarterback Alex Smith to the Washington Redskins, league sources confirmed to ESPN’s Field Yates.

Smith and the Redskins reached an agreement on a four-year contract extension, sources tell ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The deal cannot be completed until the new league year begins March 14. It is expected to be for a second-round pick and possibly more, according to a source. (ESPN)
