If you’ve been playing NBA DFS for a while, it’s fairly likely you’ve constructed a system that works well for you on a consistent basis. In cash games, it’s commonplace to take the highest projected players relative to the salary cap and fine tune them into one or two optimal lineups. In fact, with the wealth of information and projection sites available, it’s making a lot of cash games difficult to beat, especially with the lack of a late swap option. In this article we’ll cover how to revamp your lineup construction process to make it competitive in both low stakes and high stakes GPPs of various field sizes, and how your decision making should differ depending on what contests you’re playing. Avoid the Traps Regardless of what stakes you play, or how many lineups you use, it’s imperative that you have reliable projections and actually understand what they mean. A very common trap in GPPs is to use only very chalky players, as the chances of your lineup being completely unique is close to nonexistent. Therefore, it’s imperative to find what I would call 2nd tier players that would be borderline cash plays, but simply won’t be the most popular
