$11 million salary for the 2023
A resolution: Instead of being released, Aaron Jones will be staying in Green Bay this season after the Packers and his agents, Drew Rosenaus and Ryan Matha, reached agreement on an $11 million salary for the 2023 season that includes an $8.52 million signing bonus. Jones still will have two years remaining on his contract with the Packers, but this year has been adjusted. Including this season, Jones now will have made $31 million since 2021, the most for any running back other than Christian McCaffrey. (Adam Schefter on Twitter)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Jones was scheduled to count $20 million against the cap on his current deal for 2023 so something had to be worked out between the two sides. Playing hurt most of the second half of 2023, Jones finished as the RB11 (PPR) in fantasy points per game. We can continue to expect a timeshare with AJ Dillon moving forward.
