J.K Dobbins in for a visit

Can confirm Clyde Edwards-Helaire has agreed to a 1-year deal to re-sign with the Chiefs, per sources.

Nerdy Football Analysis: The Chiefs only had one running back under contract (Isiah Pacheco) so it’s no surprise that CEH is returning. Depending on how the draft shakes out, Dobbins could be signed also as a depth piece.

WR coming off ACL injury

Mike Williams is signing a one-year deal worth up to $15 million with the Jets, per source. Williams was scheduled to next visit the Panthers and Steelers. But he is not getting out of New York. (Adam Schefter on X)

Nerdy Football Analysis: Williams tore his ACL back in September of 2023 so he should be able to play this upcoming season barring a setback. His presence will give the Jets a much-needed second receiving option opposite Garrett Wilson. Williams’ best season was in 2021 when he posted a 76-1146-9 line finishing as the WR17 in PPR leagues.

Nerdy Football Analysis: Alrighty then. The market for Fields obviously wasn’t that strong given the compensation returning to the Bears. This move all but guarantees that Chicago will draft Caleb Williams or another quarterback with the first pick in the upcoming draft. Fields will join Russell Wilson as fresh faces in Pittsburgh as the Steeler overhaul the quarterback position. Will there be a QB competition?

A new weapon for Patrick Mahomes: Former Ravens and Cardinals WR Marquise Brown is expected to sign a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, per sources.

Nerdy Football Analysis: The one-year deal “Hollywood” will allow him to make the most of his time in Kansas City and perhaps get a multi-year deal for 2025 and beyond. The Chiefs are in need of WR help after being plagued by drops and poor choices like Skyy Moore and Kadarius Toney. He’ll crack the starting lineup opposite Rashee Rice and give the Chiefs a valid deep threat also capable of making plays in the intermediate sections of the field.

Nerdy Football Analysis: Whoa. The Bears are setting up Caleb Williams with a veteran presence on offense including Allen, D.J. Moore, D’Andre Swift, TE Cole Kmet and TE Gerald Everett. The Chargers reportedly asked Allen to take a pay cut and he wasn’t having it. Justin Herbert’s fantasy stock is taking a nosedive as the Chargers rebuild the offense around. The good news is, they have the 5th pick in the NFL draft and have their choice of receivers not name Marvin Harrison Jr.
