Texans cut Demayrius Thomas

Fantasy Football, NFL News

Recovering from Achilles injury

The Texans are cutting veteran wide receiver Demaryius Thomas, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly.

Thomas is recovering from a torn Achilles tendon.

He has been rehabilitating from his injury in Houston.

Thomas is due a $14 million nonguaranteed base salary that will be off of the Texans’ books. (Houston Chronicle)

Nerdy Football Analysis: Thomas (31) wants to play in 2019 but given he tore his Achilles in Week 16, he’s unlikely to make any kind of fantasy impact next season. The Texans will move forward with DeAndre Hopkins, Will Fuller (ACL) and Keke Coutee as their top three receivers.
