Team president: “All other options are on the table”
Steelers president Art Rooney II said he’s not going to release Antonio Brown, but “all other options are on the table.” He would not say Steelers are going to trade their All-Pro receiver, but left no doubt that is a strong possibility. (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Rooney also admitted it is “hard to envision” Brown being on the team next year. What first appeared to be a bit of a tantrum now looks like it will result in Brown having played his final snaps as a Steeler. For those that may not remember, Brown was a no-show for Week 17 after reportedly getting into a spat with Ben Roethlisberger during a practice earlier in the week. His supposed likely departure will leave JuJu Smith-Schuster as the clear No. 1 receiver in Pittsburgh.
