New Orleans adds deep threat

Wide Receiver Ted Ginn Jr. is signing with the New Orleans Saints per sources. (Dianna Russini on Twitter)

Nerdy Football Analysis: Are the Saints swapping speedsters? Ted Ginn brings a vertical deep threat (and drops) to the Saints passing game but this move furthers strengthens rumors that Brandin Cooks will be traded. The Titans and Patriots have both expressed interest in the current Saints wide receiver.

QB Mike Glennon headed to Chicago

$19 million guaranteed

The Chicago Bears are expected to sign Mike Glennon to a three-year deal, but that shouldn’t stop them drafting a quarterback.

Terms: Three-years, $45 million with $19 million guaranteed, per ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter (ESPN)

Nerdy Football Analysis: Glennon is the frontrunner to be the Bears starting quarterback Week 1 although it remains to be seen what QB Chicago may target in the upcoming NFL Draft. Glennon has been stuck behind Jameis Winston accumulating just 11 pass attempts over the last two years. He’ll be a backend QB2 in redraft leagues.

Still want to keep Pryor

The Browns are signing former Rams receiver Kenny Britt today, a league source told cleveland.com, but they’re still hoping to re-sign Terrelle Pryor.

Britt, 28, will sign a four-year deal worth $32.5 million, a source said. (Cleveland Plain-Dealer)

Nerdy Football Analysis: Britt reportedly had serious interest from the Eagles as well. Britt is coming of his best season as a pro (68-1002-5) ranking 24th among fantasy wide receivers but goes from one struggling franchise to another. He’ll do well to return WR3 value in 2017.

Tampa gets speed threat opposite Evans

The #Bucs are expected to sign #Redskins WR DeSean Jackson, source said. A deal they’ve expected, but a big one. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Nerdy Football Analysis: This move has been expected and it appears it will happen unless something unforeseen happens. The Bucs are in need of a speed threat opposite Mike Evans and Jackson certainly fits. He’s averaged 18.8 ypc over the last three years.
