Nathan Peterman named starting QB in Buffalo

AJ McCarron traded to Oakland

The Buffalo Bills announced Monday morning that Nathan Peterman has been named the starting quarterback, bringing to an end what was a three-man competition. The Bills previously had narrowed the field to two by trading quarterback AJ McCarron to the Oakland Raiders on Saturday, leaving the choice to Peterman and rookie Josh Allen, the No. 7 overall draft pick in April. Nerdy Football Analysis: Once McCarron was shipped off to Oakland and the confident reports on Peterman began surfacing out of Bills camp, it was only a matter of time before Peterman was named the starter. Peterman will get a chance to redeem himself from his 5-INT performance against the Chargers last season in his NFL debut. He should be avoided in the majority of fantasy leagues.
