The Chargers might move to a new city next season.

If so, it won’t be with a new head coach.

The team has informed Mike McCoy he’ll be retained for the 2016 season, a source said Monday morning.

Nerdy Football Analysis: The Chargers dealt with a rash of injuries in 2015 on their way to 4-12 season. Under McCoy, the Chargers were unable to establish a running game, despite using a first round pick on Melvin Gordon. Philip Rivers led the league in pass attempts (662) and has finished as a top ten fantasy QB the last two seasons under McCoy.
