Shoulder injury
New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram has been placed on injured reserve.
Ingram reportedly injured his shoulder, and was not present during the portion of practice open to the media on Wednesday. He was officially placed on IR Wednesday afternoon.

Nerdy Football Analysis: The Saints worst fears were confirmed after tests on Mark Ingram’s shoulder this afternoon. This marks the third straight season that Ingram has failed to stay healthy. The door is wide open for C.J. Spiller to become the lead back a what will probably become a RBBC with Tim Hightower also factoring into the mix. Both running backs are worth picking up with Spiller getting more value in PPR formats.
