Expected to be OK for training camp
Reid says “Kareem Hunt will be okay” for start of training camp. Held out much of OTA and minicamp with hamstring injury. (Chiefs Digest – Matt Derrick)
Nerdy Football Analysis: Hamstring injuries during the summer can sometimes lead to more hamstring injuries at the start of camp, but this appears to be the Chiefs exercising caution more than anything else. Reid has talked about getting Hunt more involved as a receiver in 2018 and keeping his workload roughly the same. If that end up being the case, Hunt should have no issue being a high-end RB1 once again.
