Owed $2 million on Friday
The other shoe has dropped: The Jets have released Isaiah Crowell. They wipe $3M off of the cap. Stuck with $2M dead charge. It’s Le’Veon Bell’s gig now. #Jets (Rich Cimini on Twitter)
Nerdy Football Analysis: The writing was on the wall once Le’Veon Bell was signed. $2 million of Crowell’s $4 million salary was going to be guaranteed on Friday. This leaves Bell, Elijah McGuire and Trenton Cannon in the Jets backfield. Crowell will likely need to find a job in a committee backfield. Philadelphia maybe?
