InjuryCleared concussion protocol on Monday

Allen Hurns has cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol and is able to practice this week and play in Sunday’s home game against Indianapolis.

Hurns was cleared Monday afternoon and spoke to the media for the first time since he was injured during the fourth quarter of the Jaguars’ 31-25 loss to San Diego at EverBank Field on Nov. 29, saying he has no memory of what happened during the fourth quarter until he was put in the ambulance. Hurns was taken to a local hospital as a precautionary measure but was released within hours. (ESPN)

Nerdy Football Analysis: Hurns has not scored in his last two games after finding the end zone in each of his previous seven, but has straddled the fantasy WR2/WR3 line all year and been a pleasant surprise in the Jaguars’ emerging offense. Julius Thomas has seemingly stepped into the role of Blake Bortles’ second favorite option, but Hurns should remain a solid WR3 option in fantasy for the remainder of the season.
